In short
-
No cookies
This website uses no cookies and does not track you. You don't need to accept anything.
-
Only what's needed
I only keep the data I need to support you well.
-
Confidentiality
What you tell me stays between us. I don't share anything without your consent.
Who is responsible for your data?
Lisa Werrens, psychological consultant. My enterprise number is at the bottom of every page.
- E-mail: lisawerrens@gmail.com
- Phone: +32 487 07 72 24
[TO CONFIRM – the practices: is Lisa solely responsible for her clients' data? Or are Isenta, Praktijk Kolbloem or Medi-Mine (jointly) responsible too, e.g. through a shared client file, the calendar or the reception? Do they have their own privacy statement? Then we add a link here.]
This website
This website doesn't collect any data about you.
- No cookies.
- No statistics or visitor counts.
- No forms.
- No adverts and no content from other websites (such as videos or maps).
Hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. To show the pages and keep the website secure, Cloudflare briefly sees technical data, such as your IP address. I don't get to see that data. Read more in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Links to other websites
This website contains links to other websites. If you click on one, that website's privacy rules apply. For example:
- My online calendar for Sint-Truiden is on Calendly. If you book there, you give your details to Calendly. Read Calendly's privacy policy.
- Directions open in Google Maps. Read Google's privacy policy.
- The websites of the practices and the health insurance funds.
When you contact me
If you e-mail or call me, I see your name, your e-mail address or phone number, and your message.
I only use that data to reply to you and to plan an appointment.
My e-mail (lisawerrens@gmail.com) runs through Google's Gmail. My e-mail for Sint-Truiden runs through the Isenta practice.
Tip: please don't put detailed personal or medical information in an e-mail. We'll talk about that together, during the session.
When you come to me for support
Which data?
- Your name and contact details.
- The name of your GP (family doctor).
- What you tell me in our sessions, as far as I write it down.
- Your appointments and payments.
[TO CONFIRM: is this list correct? Any other data, e.g. date of birth, national register number (for the health insurance fund), test results?]
Why?
- To support you well.
- To plan appointments and handle payments.
- To write a report for your health insurance fund, if you ask for one.
On what basis?
Data about your health is extra sensitive. I only use it with your explicit consent, and to give the support we agree on together.
[TO CONFIRM with the professional association or a privacy expert: is "explicit consent" the right legal basis? (Psychological consultant is not a recognised healthcare profession.) How do you ask for that consent, e.g. in writing at the intake?]
Who receives your data?
No one, without your consent. I am bound by professional secrecy.
- Your health insurance fund only receives a report if you ask for one.
- Your GP only receives information if you agree to it.
Only when the law requires it may I sometimes have to share data.
Online sessions and payment
Online sessions take place via WhatsApp (by Meta) or Google Meet (by Google). If you pay with Payconiq, the payment goes through Payconiq. These companies have their own privacy rules. Would you rather not have a session through such a service? Just say so. Then we'll choose another way together.
How and how long do I keep your data?
I keep your data safe, so that only I can access it.
[TO CONFIRM: how do you keep client files (paper in a locked cabinet, on a secure computer, in a program)? And for how long after the last session? After that they are destroyed.]
Your rights
You always have the right to:
- see your data;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- ask me to use your data less, or object to its use;
- take your data to someone else;
- withdraw your consent.
How do you do that?
Send me an e-mail at lisawerrens@gmail.com.
I'll reply within one month.
Sometimes I have to keep data longer because the law requires it. If so, I'll explain why.
A complaint?
Not happy with how I handle your data? Please let me know first. Then we'll look for a solution together.
You can also file a complaint with the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit (Data Protection Authority), the Belgian privacy watchdog.
